about the science
A unique tool created by Edelman to measure a blog’s importance. Each blog is rated out of 100 – in other words, the higher the score. There are four result metrics:
  • Influence – the blog is interesting and many people read it. This is the primary ranking metric.
  • Popularity – how many people read the blog.
  • Engagement – the blog does not purely broadcast but creates and engages in conversation.
  • Trust – people have confidence in what is written.
